MCNAMARA & MCCARTHY, P.C. provides sophisticated business and immigration law services without the cumbersome structures inherent in the large full-service law firm setting. Many clients - whether start-up, emerging growth or established companies, institutions, executives, essential personnel or investors - are not adequately served by the full-service law firm. These clients do not want to pay the higher fees that accompany large, general practice firms. They dislike having a new attorney involved with every project, which eliminates the "partnering" element that arises from having the same counselor who knows the business and personality of the client. They reject the notion that the bigger clients should naturally get more attention. They hate the aggravation of just getting to their attorneys' offices.

These clients want to deal with the attorney who attracted them to the firm in the first place. They, like us, see lawyers as relationship professionals, not just hired guns. We believe that the days when clients hired one law firm for all their legal issues has passed. Clients today prefer to select their lawyers for their particular field of practice and the confidence and trust that comes with personal relationships.

We are a small law firm where business and immigration clients will find the same top quality professionals as in a large firm, but with the personal touch, individual interest and attention that only a smaller organization can provide.

We are Focused
We limit our practice to the areas of law most business law clients need, including strategic business planning, technology development and transfer, intellectual property protection, financing, securities compliance, mergers and acquisitions. Similarly, on the immigration side, we limit our practice to providing corporate and individual clients with expert solutions to employment-based visa, permanent residence, work permit, citizenship and immigration compliance issues. By not trying to cover the entire legal landscape, we can provide streamlined, cutting-edge legal counsel to suit our clients' specific legal matters.

We are Selective
We cannot represent, and do not want to represent, every potential client. We think of our clients as our partners, and we select them just as carefully. It is our goal to build long term relationships in which our clients will benefit from our in-depth knowledge and understanding of their business. Our clients are treated as individuals, not as just one more name on a long list.

We Listen
We are receptive to your requirements and priorities, and will keep you informed regarding the status and progress of your documents, projects and cases, as well as of changes in the law or policies which may affect your rights or ability to meet your goals. Our agreements are simple and clear, and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have. We respect the fact that our clients have a right to a timely response to their questions.

We are Cost Conscious
Whether a matter is billed on an hourly basis or for a fixed fee, we aim to utilize our resources to provide the level of service our clients expect at a reasonable cost. We pass through standard operational expenses, such as faxes, photocopies and phone calls, at our experiential cost - we do not make a profit center out of our machines. We expect our bills to be paid promptly, but are flexible when special funding transactions are involved. In general, we want to work with our clients in an atmosphere of fairness and respect which is profitable for both.
